Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

What exactly do you do?

I help homeowners take care of the small stuff that adds up—and the big jobs that need doing right. Whether it’s installing a new light fixture, painting shutters, repairing trim, or building something from scratch, I focus on quality work and honest communication. I’m not a big crew or a corporation—I’m just one guy who shows up on time, does solid work, and stands by it.

What areas do you serve?

I'm based in Wolf Laurel, NC, and regularly work throughout Madison, Yancey, and Buncombe counties. If you’re in the area and not sure if I’ll come to you, just ask—I’ll be straight with you.

How does pricing work?

I price most jobs by the block of time:

  • Quick Fix (about an hour): $125

  • Half Day (up to 4 hours): $300

  • Full Day (up to 8 hours): $600

If your project doesn’t quite fit those time frames, I’ll give you a custom quote—no surprises, no vague hourly bills stacking up.

Do you charge for estimates?

Nope. I offer free estimates. Most jobs can be priced through photos and a quick conversation. For more involved work, I’ll swing by for a walk-through.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. I’m fully insured, and I keep things above board. While North Carolina doesn’t require a license for handyman work under $30,000, I treat every job with the same level of care you'd expect from a contractor.

Do you work weekends?

I do! I run Lend a Hand Lennon Thursday through Saturday.

How do I book a job?

Easy. Just head to the Contact page, shoot me a message, or call/text directly. Be sure to include:

  • A short description of the job

  • Your location

  • Photos if you’ve got them (always helpful)

Once I know what you’re looking for, I’ll follow up with pricing or next steps.

Can I see your past work?

Definitely. Check out the Gallery for examples of what I do—real jobs for real people, no stock photos. You’ll see everything from full deck builds to simple repairs and creative fixes.

Do you guarantee your work?

Yes. If I did it, I stand by it. If something’s not right, I’ll make it right. That’s the deal.

What if the weather messes with the schedule?

Outdoor work depends on the weather, especially up here in the mountains. If conditions don’t cooperate, I’ll get in touch ASAP and reschedule. I don’t leave folks hanging.
